New Contract  for the Ukraine: 

Lane (UK) Designs and Reika GmbH of Hagen, Germany, have just been awarded the contract for a 10 Roll CNC contolled tube straightening installation for UVIS Stainless Steel, who are the largest stainless steel tube manufacturers in the Ukraine. The 10Roll CNC Tube straightening machine is for 33m to141mm Diameter tubes with a wall thickness of upto 35mm. Running at 9 to 90M/min pass speed, with 2- 150kW motors, is of a revolutionary new ring frame design with full Siemens state of the art network CNC control. The machine will have a mass of some 90,000kgs and a working load of 80,000kgs per roll. The installation will be designed by Lane(UK) and built, installed and commissioned by Reika GmbH of Hagen, Germany. The equipment will be fully tested in thier works before shipping in 2008.

New Contract  for Corus:
Corus at Workington and Lane (UK) have just completed the engineering upgrade of the horizontal and vertical rail straightening machines for Corus in Scunthorpe, each machine weighed over 200,000kgs.With a working load of 500,000kgs and drive powers of 700kw each.This involved the recalculation of the machine loads and drives, with the manufacture of new frames, roll shafts and gearboxes. Although on a tight delivery, this work was completed on time.
